Really useful sources of business advice

I've been reading a lot of blogs and articles about business advice and support recently, many allied to discussions about Business Links etc, and it occurred to me that this group should be an excellent source of what you might call 'really useful sources of advice'.

I have distinct preference for 'going straight to the horses mouth' so probably my top ones are the key government sites;

These are very factual though so it would be interesting to know what sources you've found most useful in your business so far and why.

As a source of inspiration and good ideas, as well as useful tools and techniques for training, I find the excellent businessballs site invaluable. It is almost entirely free, and you can also add to the content to it is constantly evolving. I would thoroughly recommend it for use as I do for designing training and finding ideas to support business planning consultancy.

I agree with Gill about going straight to the horse's mouth. Since that advice has already been given, my tip is to make full use of institute memberships - I belong to a couple which give me access to various DataMonitor, Verdict and Keynote reports, academic and trade journal archives, and also research time - you are paying for these benefits, so use them!
